About the JDG

The JDG is a forum of the University of Oxford for discussing original work in legal theory as well as moral and political philosophy.

Since its creation in 1997 by Timothy Endicott, the JDG has welcomed renowned scholars from all around the world and has been convened by junior members of the Law Faculty and research students. You can read more about that on our History page.

We normally meet on Thursdays at 3pm but please check the term card because dates and times may vary.

All interested in presenting their legal philosophical research are encouraged to email us abstracts at oxfordjdg[at]gmail.com.

Additionally, anyone may join our mailing list by sending either an email asking to subscribe at oxfordjdg[at]gmail.com or a blank email at jurisprudence-discussion-group-subscribe[at]maillist.ox.ac.uk.
